The Nightbane warbands are the terror troops of the Horde; undying warriors gathered beneath the banner of a forsaken knight.

Shambling toward the enemy with an inevitable sense of doom, they require little subtlety to utilize but much guile to withstand.

The Nightbanes are trailed by hungry Wyrd Wolves and the hidden presence of wraiths, waiting to take a toll on mortal men.

Strategy Guide: The core of this warband is slow and grinding, so placement of undying models is essential. It is highly effective at assaulting enemy positions, but lacks speed. Prepare to be outflanked and to lose objectives early on in the game.

The living auxiliary models are all designed to overcome these weaknesses – archers can target enemies on objectives and Wyrd Wolves are swift enough to tie up enemies. Just don't expect anything but the undead to survive for long! The Re-Animated Knight is the most powerful 'mid-tier' hero in the game and will be exceptionally important to this list.

 The Wraith Emissaries are powerful shock troops but their armour-ignoring vorpal blade are only useful against heavy armour – don't waste them slaughtering peasants!
